We’re now on Facebook!
You asked and we listened. Facebook provides an extension of your community and another way for us to better serve you. You will find information about your community, receive important reminders and updates, learn about resources, view housing tips and so much more. Come on over and like us.
Plus, supercharge your social experience with us and like the Corvias Military Living Facebook page as well. We will see you there!
We are excited to announce big changes are happening with payment options for residents at Corvias Military Living. You now have online and mobile rent payment options. This will save you time in your day and allow you to pay your rent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the comfort of your own home. If you are already set up with an allotment of your BAH going towards your home each month, this will not apply to you. However, it may apply in the event you need to pay a prorated amount for rent upon move-in or when you move-out and wish to pay an outstanding balance. Click here for a summary of your options.
Who doesn’t like to be recognized for doing the right thing? Corvias Military Living recently began a program to do just that! The Resident Spotlight program is a fun way for us to give residents kudos for taking care of and contributing to their community.
Our team is on the lookout for residents who take pride in their home and community. There are many ways to be an exemplary resident such as, consistently demonstrating care and cleanliness of your home, picking up after your pet regularly, taking time to beautify your yard and regularly returning your trash can to your home, just to name a few.
Thank you cards are awarded in four categories: care of home, yard, pets and community. If you are spotted being an outstanding citizen of Fort Sill you will be entered into a drawing to potentially win a $25 gift card. There will be one winner from each community on Fort Sill.
Congratulations to the lucky winners of May’s drawing the Laws family and the Ruiz family, and thanks to all of our residents who were acknowledged for doing the right thing.
When preparing for vacation, read the following policies regarding recreational vehicles and equipment, which can be found in your Resident Responsibility Guide, section 4-8. The following types of vehicles and equipment may only be stored inside the garage with the door closed and may not be permanently parked, left overnight or visible in any housing area:
- Travel trailers
- Motor coaches
- Camper bodies or trailer
- Commercial vehicles
- Tractor trailers
- Boats and trailers
- Horse trailers
- All-terrain vehicles
Please contact your community office to register for space in Corvias’ free RV Lot.
Physical activity is an essential component of a healthy lifestyle for individuals and families. Thirty minutes of vigorous activity is recommended for adults while children need 60 minutes of play with moderate to vigorous activity level. The combination of physical activity and healthy food choices can help prevent a variety of diseases, maintain a healthy weight, build lean muscle and promote strong bone, muscle and joint development.
Individuals and families can incorporate fun and engaging activities into their everyday routine to help reach their physical activity goals. As summer approaches and you start to plan your summer vacations, think about planning an active vacation. Going to the beach? Instead of merely going to the beach, look for other activities such as fishing excursions, sports activities or biking along the beach you can include into your vacation time. Planning a trip to another city? Explore the city through a walking tour, skate at the local park, visit the zoo or amusement park. Camping is another active vacation that can challenge your physical activity while still having a great time relaxing.
There are many activities ranging from swimming, walking / running or biking you can do within your local community to help get you and your family active. For more information about the local activities click here.
Fireworks typically play a major part in Fourth of July celebrations. We would like to remind all residents that the sale, manufacturing and discharging of fireworks anywhere on Fort Sill is prohibited.
Fireworks are not allowed to be discharged anywhere within the city limits of Lawton. Fireworks can be discharged near Lake Lawtonka on designated days in certain areas. Stay tuned to your local media for more information.
We wish everyone a fun and safe Fourth of July!
How do you get rid of “energy vampires?” Unplug appliances that are not in use. Do not leave them in standby mode
